Lightbridge also offers a Rigging Wedge (metal) that does not break. However, the Safety Wedge is designed with an aluminum surface for smooth sliding into the rail, allowing for effortless reflector (diffusion) swapping. This easy slide-in and out feature is unique to the Safety Wedge, giving you the best of both safety and convenience on set.
Tip:
The break-off point is at 0.5 kN - always loosen the grip instead of forcing the reflector into a new position.
Do not over-tighten the C-Wheel, as it reduces its holding force when overtightened and increases the possibility of the Safety Wedge breaking under 0.5 kN.
